“Thank you so much for making such an outstanding contribution to the newly formed Pontesbury and Rea Valley U3A.  Yours was the first input we have had and it set a very high standard.  It was engaging, passionate, funny and thought provoking as well as providing some very sound practical insights into a complex process.  It was lovely as well to hear reading and writing talked about in terms of creativity and pleasure for young children.

Thank you for all the thought, care and effort you put into the talk – it was much appreciated by the audience.”

Having finished the 4th book in the series I expected another long lingering read, to entertain me through my flu days. The magic of Catherine Coopers writing transported me back to Jack Brenins world which I found impossible to leave and I sped through the book within 2 day’s. Without spoiling the ending I can say this book would be wonderful for young adult readers. Cooper is able to describe and write about the feelings youngsters experience at the same time weaving the other characters emotional support which help Jack find his way. I heartedly recommend this series for anyone who enjoys stories of magic.

What a wonderful ending to a brilliant series. There is always a slight worry when reading the last book of a series that it might disappoint however this is certainly not the case with The Oak Lord. It really does surpass expectations. So thank you Catherine Cooper for giving us such a fantastic series. I believe there will be further standalone adventures written in the future. So that will give something for all Jack and Camelin’s friends to look forward to.

Highly recommend both book and author. Would give more than 5 stars if I could.

I absolutely adore this author, I hold off reading as long as I can so it lasts longer!! For me she is better than JK. The story keeps you on the edge and never disappoints. I am looking forward to reading to my grandchildren when they arrive! And I can start all over again. Catherine – don’t ever stop.
